Venice, Fondazione Giorgio Cini: scholarships in art history

The Fondazione Giorgio Cini, Venice is offering nine residential scholarships for PhD and postdoctoral students to spend two months in 2027 at the Residence, working on a research project focused on materials held in the Fondazione archives.

The deadline for applying for a scholarship online is June 30, 2026.

Since 1954, the Institute of Art History has organized meetings and academic conferences, maintained an important collection of artworks (primarily drawings, paintings, miniatures, and antique books), preserved the historical archives of leading scholars of Venetian art, published a series of works (journals, book series, and catalogs), and organized exhibitions of ancient, modern, and contemporary art.
