Notice for Erasmus+ and other international students

The Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Crete will offer one undergraduate course and one postgraduate course in English during the Spring Semester 2026.

Both courses will be taught by Prof. Amanda Katz (Utah State University), who has joined the Department as a Fulbright Scholar.

Courses will begin on Wednesday 11 February 2026, as follows:

  • Undergraduate course: Science and Technology in World History (INX 173): Wednesdays, 11.30 a.m. – 2.30 p.m., Room 7, Lecture Halls of the School of Philosophy, University Campus
  • Postgraduate seminar: Science and Technology of the Islamic, Byzantine, and Ottoman Empires (OTT 113), Thursdays, 5.30 p.m. – 8.30 p.m., Room 10, Lecture Halls of the School of Philosophy, University Campus
