Titina Kornezou received her BA and MA (D.E.A) in Art History from the University of Rennes II in France. In 2004 she received her PhD in Art History from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Crete. She has been teaching History of Western Art at the Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Crete since 2004, where she was appointed Lecturer in 2009, Assistant Professor in 2017 and Associate Professor in 2022. She is a founding member of the Association of Greek Art Historians (http://eeit.org/), served as the Secretary General of the Board (2013-2019) and since 2018 serves as its representative in the Comité International d’Histoire de l’Art (CIHA). She has been a member of the editorial board of the academic journal Istoria tis Technis (2013-2015).

Research interests: Her research interests are focused on European art from sixteenth to eighteenth centuries and particularly French painting, art theory and historiography of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, and the artistic institutions of the same period.
